Review | Motorola Droid | Droiddoes | Yes the slogan is correct.

I have had the Motorola Droid for a week now.  I am very happy with the overall appearance of the phone.  It is sleek and the buttons are easily pressed.  The one downside of the phone I have come across is the sound quality.  I have read that Verizon might have a software update for it by December 11th.  This phone is a major competitor of the iPhone.  I was a user of a iPhone 2G 16GB.  This unit has the same memory, but you can, change the 16GB out for a 32GB card.  Also you can change out the battery, I’m sure with my daily charges I will need to eventually change out the battery in a years time.

This phone has met my expectations for a smartphone.  Every few words said while searching google by voice were missed but partly because of me talking fast.

A few great things about this phone

- Absolutely Amazing Screen

- Good touch sensitivity, but not perfect.

- Good selection of FREE Applications in the Market.

- Free turn by turn mapping with google, and voice searching.

- Perfect Google Voice functionality

- Threaded text messaging.

- Streaming Pandora radio across 3G coverage

- Choice of touchscreen keyboard or slide out physical QWERTY keyboard

A few downsides

- Sound quality of call

- Weak built in Facebook application

- Battery drains fast
